Our mission is to provide quality electrical services and contribute to the sustainability, affordability, and high living standards of West Michigan.

We are currently expanding into the battery charging and renewable energy sector, while continuing to grow our commercial electrical service.

We are consistently less expensive than our larger competitors. Our service is prompt, considerate, and accommodating.
HISTORY
WHERE WE STARTED
Locally owned and operated, Butler Electric is proud to serve homes and businesses in West Michigan with a wide range of expert electrical services.
Founded by Master Electrician Bryan Butler in 2011, Butler Electric has worked on buildings large and small to perform routine maintenance, new installations, answer emergency calls, and implement long-range green energy solutions.
Butler Electric is founded on integrity, honest relationships, and old-fashioned hard work. Employees are trained directly by a master electrician and schooled through the Grand Rapids Community College electrical apprenticeship program.

ABOUT US
BRYAN
BUTLER
Master Electrician Bryan holds a Bachelor’s in Science and Construction Management from Ferris State University. He has lived in West Michigan for 39 years and worked as an electrician since 1999.
​
"In my free time I like to play with my kids, read, and exercise. I love doing electrical work. I started in the construction industry as a general trades laborer and after seeing how buildings are made decided I wanted to be an electrician. I applied all over and found a job. Electricity is everywhere and as an electrician we get to work on a wide variety of applications. We’re always constructing something new so there are always new problems to solve and new people to meet. That’s what I love about it."

EDWARD
MANDERFELD
Edward has been in the electrical field for 4 years and lives near Kent City, MI. He appreciates the variety that comes with working at Butler and the many different projects he gets to work on.
​
"Outside of work," says Edward, "I like to travel, garden, and hang out with friends and family."
DAMON
SNYDER
Originally from Florida, Damon came to Michigan to attend school. He graduated from the electrical program at Grand Rapids Community College and then joined the Butler Electric team.
​
"I like the people I work with and that every job is different. It gives you a chance to actually brainstorm some ideas on how to complete a job."
When he's not working, Damon likes to watch and play basketball and spend time with family.
WILL
MCARTHUR
Will comes to us from Holland, MI with 5 years of electrical experience. He learned about electrical services at Northern Michigan University and Michigan State University.
​
Will says that his favorite part of electrical work is working on solar projects.
Outside of work, Will enjoys running, skiing, collecting punk records, and playing Magic: The Gathering.
CHRISTIAN
Christian has his Journeyman license and does a variety of electrical work.
JARED
Zylstra
Jared is from Byron Center, MI and recently graduated from Byron Center High School.
"I enjoy that there's always some new to learn from every job."

When he's not working, Jared enjoys playing piano, attending his Church group, working on his car, and playing video games.
